Premier League juggernauts Arsenal have reportedly stopped their pursuit of Juventus Star Kenan Yildiz and are considering alternative transfer plans. According to The Athletic, the London side is looking a multiple attacking options in order to improve their squad depth.
Yildiz joined Juve in an academy transfer from German giants Bayern Munich in 2022. He made the jump to the senior team in November 2023 and quickly became a regular feature in the Old Lady's starting lineups.
In the 2025-26 season, the Turkish youngster elevated his game to the next level. He bagged 11 goals and 10 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions and won the Serie A's Rising Star award, given to the best under-23 player in the league.
The Athletic (via Metro) reports that Arsenal, who won the 2025-26 Premier League title, are actively scouring the market for a left-winger. With Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard entering the last year of their contracts, the Gunners are supposedly open to selling them and signing a younger talent.
The report claims that Mikel Arteta's side made an approach to sign Yildiz from Juventus. However, the Italian side, 'in no uncertain terms', declared that the 21-year-old is not for sale.
Having lost out to Barcelona in the race to sign Anthony Gordon last week, Arsenal have to move quickly in order to solve their woes on the left wing. Other options on their shortlist include Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and PSG's Bradley Barcola, who will be seen in action at this summer's FIFA World Cup for England and France respectively.
Arsenal set to rival Manchester United and Liverpool in race to sign Premier League star - Reports
Premier League champions Arsenal are set to face competition from Manchester United and Liverpool the race to sign star Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.
Scott joined the Cherries from Bristol City for a reported £25 million fee in the summer of 2023. While he struggled to break into the starting lineup at first, he became a regular at the start of the 2025-26 season.
Often marshalling the midfield, he played a crucial role in helping Bournemouth record their highest-ever EPL finish (sixth) and qualify for the Europa League. He made 37 appearances in the league, scoring thrice and assisting once.
Several top English sides have showcased an interest in adding Scott to their ranks. According to Alex Goldberg (via justarsenal), Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are the top contenders for his signature.
The head coach who spearheaded Bournemouth's historic campaign, Andoni Iraola, recently joined Liverpool - a move that could potentially convince Scott to join the Reds. Meanwhile, Manchester United seem to have secured their Casemiro replacement in Atalanta's Ederson and could look to strengthen other areas of their squad moving forward.
With a left-winger signing also in the works, the Gunners will soon have a decision to make if they are to secure Scott's services.
