Seahawks announce when they’ll hand out Super Bowl rings

The Seahawks appear to be confirming what had been suspected for a while — players, coaches and other team officials will be getting their Super Bowl rings this week.

The Seahawks posted a picture on X on Tuesday morning with a picture of receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba pointing to a finger with a ring emoji and the word Thursday.

That would jibe with the thought that the team would get their rings at the end of their offseason program, which is set to conclude with a final minicamp practice on Thursday.

The rings would likely be given out in a private ceremony if the Seahawks do as other teams have recently and as the Seahawks did in 2014.

That year, the Seahawks held a private ceremony at the EMP Museum on June 19 to present rings and hold a party celebrating their Super Bowl win over Denver.

This week the Seahawks would be celebrating their 29-13 Super Bowl win over New England on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara.

The ring ceremony will be one of the highlights of many commemorations of that win. The Seahawks placed the Lombardi Trophy for viewing in the team lobby in the VMAC in Renton a few weeks ago and also raised a banner in the indoor facility.

The team will raise a banner at Lumen Field before the season opener against New England on Sept. 9.
