The 2026 NBA Draft is set to begin in two weeks on June 23-24 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Indiana hasn't had a player drafted since former center Kel'el Ware went 15th overall to the Miami Heat in 2024, and IU could be waiting at least another year before a Hoosier hears their name called.
Indiana guard Lamar Wilkerson and wing Tucker DeVries are IU's top draft prospects this year. While both players are currently projected as fringe prospects and likely to begin their professional careers as undrafted free agents, NBA teams are still keeping an eye on the two Hoosier sharpshooters as potential late second-round fliers.
Wilkerson and DeVries each have participated in multiple pre-draft workouts, including with the Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors. Both players were invited to and attended the G League Combine on May 8-10 in Chicago, though neither received an NBA Combine invitation.
The latest NBA mock drafts and big boards don't currently view Wilkerson or DeVries in the top-50 overall prospects. However, CBS Sports' Adam Finkelstein on Tuesday released an updated two-round projection, which included DeVries being selected by the Warriors with the No. 54 overall pick.
"I got to see DeVries work out this spring and thought he looked healthier than he has in several years," Finkelstein wrote. "There's no question he's a truly elite shooter, so this might be worth a look for the Warriors."
Wilkerson currently is not projected to be selected in any mock drafts, but he's ranked among the top-80 prospects on a majority of big boards. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard said he expected to complete roughly a dozen workouts with various NBA teams prior to draft night.

DeVries, the son of IU coach Darian DeVries, followed his father from Drake to West Virginia to Indiana across five college seasons. The 6-foot-7, 225-pound wing averaged 13.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals last season, while shooting 39.7 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from 3-point range and 85.9 percent at the free-throw line.
Prior to transferring to Indiana, DeVries was ranked the No. 18 overall transfer and No. 2 small forward in the 2025 transfer class. He played in only eight games at West Virginia in 2024-25 after undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, but DeVries was lauded as one of the nation's best shooters after hitting 47.3 percent from 3-point range on 55 total attempts with the Mountaineers. DeVries spent three seasons at Drake to begin his career, becoming a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and 2021-22 MVC Freshman of hte Year.
Wilkerson, a transfer from Sam Houston State, blossomed after arriving in Bloomington. The 6-foot-5 guard earned second-team All-Big Ten honors after starting all 32 games and averaging a team-high 20.9 points with 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steal in 34.0 minutes per game. Wilkerson's 23.2 points per game in Big Ten play was the most in program history since George McGinnis in 1970-71. The Ashdown, Ark., native made 104 3-pointers and shot 37.8 percent from deep last season in his lone season as a Hoosier.
Wilkerson will be most remembered by a pair of 40-plus-point games against Penn State and Oregon. His 669 total points scored ranks 11th-most in a single season at IU, and he became only the second player alongside IU legend Steve Alford to make at least 100 3-pointers in a single season.
