New York Giants fans are excited about what Jaxson Dart and JuJu Smith-Schuster can do together in 2026.
The Giants signed Smith-Schusterafter a June 1 workout. New York also added Odell Beckham Jr. and Braxton Berrios the same day.
The Super Bowl LVII champion brings nine seasons of battle-tested experience to the Giants, having suited up for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. He arrives with 481 career receptions for 5,624 yards and 33 touchdowns across 121 games and 92 starts.
Smith-Schuster posted in a Giants jersey following his signing on June 2, captioning the photo, “side quest is now the main storyline. 🎞️”
Dart dropped into the comments with a simple “8ball,” and the exchange immediately turned heads.

The comment does not seem like much on the surface. It was exactly the welcome sign fans needed. The fanbase swarmed Dart’s reply, adding to the buzz.

The optimism around New York is grounded in something real. The Giants finished last in the NFC East with a 4-13 record in 2025.
However, Dart was aconsistent bright spot throughout a season riddled with setbacks. Taking over from veteran Russell Wilson in Week 4, Dart threw for 2,272 yards. He recorded 15 touchdowns and just five interceptions in 12 starts. He also ran for 487 yards and a franchise-record nine rushing touchdowns, third-most by a rookie quarterback in NFL history.
Smith-Schuster fills a genuine need. He already knows new Giants offensive coordinator Matt Nagy’s system from their time together in Kansas City.
How far this Giants season goes will depend heavily on how Dart and Smith-Schuster develop together. The early signs suggest both are already locked in.
