Watson returned from a torn ACL to record more than 600 yards and six touchdowns last season. He previously signed a one-year contract extension.

“Yeah, I’m going to be thankful every single day that I get to step out on that field, to be honest. But I mean, for sure I’m going to go out there every day with the mindset to continue to earn that contract every single day. Yeah, no, that’s my mindset going forward. I’m going to be thankful every single day that I get to be out there and continue to earn it each and every day too,” Watson said.

Teammate Jayden Reed, who also signed a contract extension, said Watson deserves the deal.

“You’re never curious about what you’re going to get. You know what you’re going to get out of nine and he’s going to work hard. He’s a very smart football player. I’ve learned a lot from nine. And he’s a great teammate. He deserves every penny,” Reed said.

Quarterback Jordan Love said the extensions provide continuity for the offense.

“Knowing that they’re going to be here for the next couple years, it’s great. It’s great for us as an offense to just keep building upon the continuity we got together as a group, building the chemistry and just trying to find ways to get better and better,” Love said.

Watson mentioned tight end Tucker Kraft, who wears number 85, as another player who could be up for a contract extension. Watson said he didn’t know anything but was trying to speak it into existence.

Tight end Luke Musgrave left practice early with an injury and was seen going to the team facility at Lambeau Field.
