On game days, “MVP” chants and scores of fans wearing his jersey must make Jalen Brunson feel right at home in Madison Square Garden—especially during the Knicks’ energizing performance in this year’s NBA Finals. But between games, where does New York’s star point guard kick back and recharge his batteries?
When Brunson joined the Knicks in 2022, inking a $104 million, four-year contract with the team, it marked a return to the tri-state area for the New Brunswick native. He spent his childhood in the New Jersey township of Cherry Hill. Brunson’s tight-knit family of four relocated frequently due to his father’s job. (Rick Brunson played for a handful of NBA teams, including the Knicks; he is currently the Knicks’ assistant coach.) In his adolescence, Jalen Brunson’s family moved to Lincolnshire, Illinois, where he played basketball at Stevenson High School. After graduating, the future NBA star moved to Pennsylvania to play for Villanova alongside his best friend and current Knicks teammate Josh Hart, who was his roommate at the university.

Despite his status as a public figure, the 6’2” baller has kept private much of his off-court life. The Knicks phenom, his wife, and their two-year-old daughter Jordyn live in an affluent suburb of Westchester, a county in southeastern New York state. The area is roughly 30 miles north of Madison Square Garden; it’s also approximately 13 miles south of the Knicks’ 105,000-square-foot practice facility in Tarrytown. Snapshots of Brunson’s dwelling on Instagram shared by his wife reveal cozy, neutral-hued interiors and decor as well as a picturesque porch. Her social media posts also show a walk-in closet and dressing area featuring a large ottoman and floor-to-ceiling glass cabinets which showcase a massive sneaker collection.
It is rumored that Brunson owns a coastal beach house in Ocean City, New Jersey, however, details of the reported purchase are unavailable.
