The summer transfer window is fast approaching, with clubs in the Premier League already plotting how to strengthen their squads before the deadline slams shut at the end of August.

The likes of Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur have been busy in the free agency market already, with the Spanish giants securing Ibrahima Konate, while Spurs have already announced Andy Robertson, with ex-Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi to follow soon.

For Premier League clubs, the window officially opens on Monday, June 15, 2026, and will close at 23:00 BST on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Now, it seems the modern transfer market could reach a new frontier. According to a report in The Telegraph, several Premier League clubs have held talks over buying an artificial intelligence chatbot specifically designed to help with transfer negotiations.

The tool, created by British tech firm Nostrada.ai, is essentially a digital clone that can simulate the responses of rival clubs, sporting directors and even agents, allowing recruitment teams to “war‑game” how different bids or proposals might be received before they ever pick up the phone. It is claimed that the tool has already been used by the British government on occasion.

Nostrada.ai’s football product draws on years of data about transfers, patterns and financial conditions to predict how clubs operating under different budgetary pressures might react to offers for key players, The Telegraph reports.

Founder Leon Emirali says the platform can generate statistical profiles of sporting directors, club presidents and agents, helping clubs decide how far to push in talks and when to walk away.

“The product was extremely successful in politics, so we decided to expand into other areas including football,” said Emirali, the Nostrada.ai founder and a former aide to Steve Barclay, a former Brexit secretary.

“Football clubs are looking for every advantage they can find and being able to war game (strategically replicate) transfers is hugely beneficial.

“Clubs can save time and money by testing out the responses of other clubs over transfers and can also help negotiations to run smoothly by gathering more information on how their rivals like to operate. We have already spoken to a number of Premier League clubs, who are very interested in it.

“The data we have can take into account a club’s financial position or whether or not they have issues around financial rules and how they traditionally respond to bids. We have statistical profiles of sporting directors, club presidents and agents.”

At least three Premier League teams are said to be seriously interested, with discussions ongoing over how the technology would be implemented and whether any deals would be exclusive.

The idea is for each buyer to have a secure, firewalled version so their own usage cannot be turned against them in the future.
