O-Line Shuffle: Last week, Monken said that four of the starters on the offensive line have been determined: Spencer Fano at left tackle, Zion Johnson at left guard, Tytus Howard at right tackle and Elgton Jenkins either at right guard or center. If the Browns decide on Luke Wypler or Parker Brailsford at center, Elgton Jenkins would move to right guard.
On Tuesday, KT Leveston was with the first team at right guard. Leveston played offensive tackle last season.
"We're just trying to move guys around a little bit to see where we can find the best five," Monken said. We do like his power and his toughness, from what we've seen from last year, obviously, we don't see it here. Last year when he got a chance to play, you could see that running off the football, his aggressiveness, finishing plays, you love that about him. Those kinds of guys you're always trying to find a spot for."
Last week, Jack Conley was with the first team at right guard and Monken said he expects there to be a lot of competition at center and right guard.
"Oh yeah. I think we're trying to find the best five," he said. I said it the other day and we'll just keep moving guys around. It's hard now without pads on."
If Leveston, Conley, Teven Jenkins, Zak Zinter or Austin Barber end up at guard, Elgton Jenkins will remain at center.
