Pelicans latest trade demand on Trey Murphy III revealed

Instead of draft capital, the Pelicans would seek pieces that will immediately help them win in a potential Trey Murphy III deal.

The New Orleans Pelicans are reportedly unlikely to trade Trey Murphy III for a package centered mainly on draft picks, and would only consider moving him in a deal that brings immediate help to the roster.

Jake Fischer revealed the latest revelation around the highly sought Pelicans wing on his latest Bleacher Report livestream.

"Trey Murphy’s still going to be a name that we’re going to talk about and write about on the Stein Line, because other teams absolutely want him. The New Orleans Pelicans, though, of course, shut down pretty much all interest in him in February, and they didn’t really want a picks-laden package," Fischer bared.

"I think if the Pelicans were to move Trey Murphy III, it would be for more of a buy-now, get-better type of acquisition."
