According to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer, Bridges is already being presumed to be on the table for the Hornets and be eligible for any potential deals.

"Charlotte is expected to make Miles Bridges available in trade talks in conjunction with the upcoming draft, league sources say, after essentially doing so at the February trade deadline," both NBA insiders indicated in their latest piece.

Miles Bridges' expiring contract makes him trade-ready for Charlotte

According to Stein and Fischer, Bridges' looming contract year stands as a key reason for the forward's expected trade market availability in the summer.

The 28-year-old will earn $22.8 million next 2026-27 season and is set to become an unrestricted free agent.

Bridges has been in Charlotte since 2018. Despite being the longest tenured Hornet, he is yet to see a postseason appearance on his own career.

He appeared in 77 games this 2026-27 NBA season, averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

After being eliminated in the Play-In Tournament for the final Eastern Conference playoff berth, the Hornets will look for changes to finally get over the hump starting next year with LaMelo Ball and Kon Knueppel leading the way as their franchise pillars.
