Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali was used as one of the club's poster boys as the club launched their new barcode shirt this morning.
Tonali, who has been linked with a move to Man City, Man United and Arsenal, features in the images used to promote the new kit alongside skipper Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, Nick Woltemade, Dan Burn, Harvey Barnes and Malick Thiaw.
The Italian international's future at the club remains uncertain with strong interest in the 25-year-old. However, Newcastle have been firm in their stance around the midfielder, insisting that any interested club must pay £100million if they are to prise the former AC Milan schemer away from St James' Park.
Man Utd, in particular, have been heavily linked with a move for Tonali, although any interest is dependent on Elliot Anderson's potential move to one of the Manchester rivals.
And Tonali's inclusion in the promotion pictures for the new club could be telling - although it should be noted that Alexander Isak also featured in last year's promotion before his exit.
The new shirt was launched and put on sale with no new sponsor but Newcastle are believed to be hoping to unveil new partners soon.
A Newcastle statement read: "Our adidas home kit for the 2026/27 season has arrived, introducing a fresh, new take on the black‑and‑white stripes. The full kit is available in‑store and online now.
"This season’s shirt reimagines our classic look with a bold, disrupted stripe pattern. An energetic pop of colour around the crew neck collar also adds a fresh take on tradition. On the back of the neck sits a magpie, a subtle nod to our heritage and home.
"A future-thinking and progressive jersey has been paired with more traditional clean black shorts and socks to complete this season’s look.
"Adidas has brought innovation to the jersey, with the authentic version featuring advanced Climacool+ technology. This is built to keep you cool, dry and comfortable, whether you’re playing five‑a‑side or roaring the lads and lasses on from the stands."
Newcastle used the slogan: "Home lives in black and white" to launch the kit and even those who aren't swept away with the shirt have a range of "stadium" options including stadium anthem jackets, warm-up shirts and training t-shirts with the latter priced at £25.
