Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign highly-rated Leicester City teenager Jeremy Monga, with the Premier League champions looking to beat a host of domestic and European rivals to the signature of one of English football’s brightest young prospects.
Monga, 16, has emerged as one of the most sought-after academy products in the country after breaking into Leicester’s first team at an exceptionally young age. The winger made headlines when he became one of the youngest players ever to appear in the Premier League and followed that breakthrough with a prominent role during Leicester’s 2025-26 campaign.
Reports in recent days have suggested ARSENAL are leading the race for the England youth international, with negotiations ongoing between the clubs. Leicester are understood to have received multiple enquiries from clubs across England and Europe, but Arsenal appear to have moved ahead of competitors in the pursuit.
The teenager enjoyed a remarkable season despite Leicester’s struggles. He made 27 Championship appearances, scoring once and providing two assists, while also becoming the youngest goalscorer in Championship history.
Several reports claim the deal could be worth more than £10 million, with some estimates placing Monga’s valuation between £10 million and £15 million. Given his age and contractual situation, a transfer tribunal could ultimately play a role in determining the final compensation package if an agreement is not reached between the clubs.
Arsenal’s interest aligns with a broader recruitment strategy focused on acquiring elite young talent. The North London club has earned a reputation for developing teenage prospects in recent years, with youngsters progressing into first-team contention under manager Mikel Arteta.
Club officials reportedly view Monga as a player capable of following a similar pathway.
While no agreement has yet been officially confirmed, reports this week indicate personal terms may already be in place, with ARSENAL now concentrating on finalising a fee with Leicester.
