Manchester United are reportedly exploring a move for Mateus Fernandes.
The midfielder was relegated with West Ham during the 2025/26 campaign, but had caught the eye with his performances.
Fernandes is said to be fancied by United, who are keen to bolster their midfield options this summer.
That's according to Sky Sports, who suggest United view him as a serious option.
The 21-year-old joined from Southampton, having been relegated with Saints during the 2024/25 season.
The report claims United's transfer hierarchy believe Fernandes has the ability to become as good as Declan Rice.
Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain ar also believed to be interested in the player.
No formal offers have been made yet, with West Ham also keen to keep hold of Fernandes.
