Nottingham Forest have placed a record price tag on the head of in-demand midfielder Elliot Anderson.
Manchester City have already had an undisclosed bid for the England international rebuffed. They are expected to return with another offer in an attempt to once again test the Reds’ resolve.
There is also interest in Anderson from Manchester United, although it is City who are considered favourites for his signature. But if either club are to prise him away from Forest, a significant sum will be required to do so.

According to the Daily Mail, the Reds believe Anderson is worth more than the £105 million Declan Rice cost Arsenal when he signed from West Ham United in 2023. It is said the club are ideally looking for £110m for their prized asset - a record fee for an English player.
City are believed to be keen to wrap up a deal for the 23-year-old before the Three Lions’ World Cup campaign begins on June 17. Forest, however, are not under pressure to sell and know Anderson’s value could increase if he has a strong tournament.
The former Newcastle United man is under contract at the City Ground until 2029. Head coach Vitor Pereira has previously said the club want to keep him but there is an acceptance the transfer market is difficult to control.
"I don't have the answer. If you ask me if he deserves the best clubs in the world, he deserves,” Pereira said last month when asked about Anderson’s future.
“He has a lot of quality. He is a talent. But he is our player and I am very happy with him.

“The market is the market, I cannot predict the market. I know we want to keep the same players, to bring two or three players to help us balance the squad. In the end, we'll see."
When questioned about his future back in March, Anderson made clear his primary focus this summer would be on the World Cup. He said at the time: "Obviously we've got the World Cup this summer so all my eyes are on that.”
