Chelsea have confirmed four players will be departing Stamford Bridge upon the expiration of their contracts later this month.

Academy players Jimi Tauriainen, Sam Rak-Sakyi, Richard Olise and Brodi Hughes will all leave the club as the Blues released their retained list on Wednesday morning. All four players see their contracts come to an end on June 30.

Tauriainen, who joined Chelsea in 2020, made his first-team debut in the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Leeds United in 2024 and then made a late cameo appearance in the Premier League against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. However, the Blues have chosen not to extend the Finn's contract at the club.

Rak-Sakyi, meanwhile, made four senior appearances for Chelsea during his time with the club. The midfielder, who has been in the west Londoners' academy since the age of eight, played a part in the Blues' Conference League triumph under Enzo Maresca in the 2024/25 season.

Olise, the younger brother of Bayern Munich winger and former Chelsea academy star Michael, is set to move on after more than a decade at Cobham. He will leave, though, without ever making a first-team appearance for the Blues. Likewise, Hughes will depart without playing for the senior side.

Fellow academy star Ronnie Stutter will stay at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea moving the striker to a month-to-month contract. The final line of the announcement made by the Blues read: "We thank all our departing players for their contributions during their time with the Blues and wish them well for the next chapter in their careers."
