Liverpool is reportedly now engaged in direct talks to bring Manchester City wonderkid Xavier Parker to the club.
Parker first came to prominence at West Ham United, where he broke into their Under-18 side as an under‑age player and did enough to draw the attention of several top Premier League clubs.

Manchester City moved decisively in 2024 to bring him into their academy. He was only 14 years of age at the time.
Since then, he has continued his upward trajectory, featuring in the Under‑18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup, and stepping up to Manchester City’s Under‑19 squad in the UEFA Youth League.
Parker actually found the net against Liverpool’s Under-18s in March, grabbing the third goal in a 3-0 victory for the Cityzens. He also featured in the City side that lifted the most recent FA Youth Cup, playing in the 2-1 win over Manchester United in the final on May 14.
News broke earlier this week that the Reds were very keen on the 16-year-old midfielder, and now it seems that the situation is moving quickly.
The Secret Scout took to X to report that Parker himself is a Liverpool fan and wants the move with direct talks now underway:
“Liverpool and Xavier Parker representatives have begun contract negotiations. Both parties want the move. Parker is a Liverpool fan. Expected to leave Man City at the end of this month when his contract ends and join Liverpool. Ongoing interest from other clubs, Manchester City have already targeted top talent replacements.”
It would continue Liverpool’s push for the best young talent available after the signing of Wolves u14 goalkeeper Zach Trinder.
