Team head coach Chris Finch revealed that the Timberwolves are looking to add another playmaker this offseason to help take some of the offensive load off Anthony Edwards.

"We definitely need another ball handler and playmaker and somebody who can, you know, initiate the offense, take the load off of Anthony, get Anthony back to his natural best spot," Finch said on KFAN1003 radio.

"I think there's a lot of things that we gained by putting Anthony on the ball. I think there's a lot of things he learned by, you know, having him on the ball.

"I think those things will pay off, you know, in subsequent seasons, you know, to be quite honest with you, and that's a silver lining. But there's no doubt we need somebody to kind of help him. It just put too much on his plate," he added.

Anthony Edwards reportedly not happy with Timberwolves situation

According to NBA insider Brian Windhorst, team star Anthony Edwards is not fully satisfied with the current roster situation.

"And so, going forward after this series, the Minnesota Timberwolves' future is in question somewhat because of what Ant [Anthony Edwards] feels about the roster," he said on ESPN.

The report comes after Minnesota's playoff exit, where the Timberwolves were eliminated in the second round after losing 4-2 to the San Antonio Spurs.

Despite another strong individual season from Edwards, questions are now being raised about the team's direction moving forward and how the roster will be built around their franchise player.

Edwards played 61 games this season and continued to show major growth as a scorer and leader. He averaged 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 48.9% from the field and 39.9% from three-point range.
