Gabriel Arteta has officially signed with Arsenal as a scholar, the Premier League have confirmed.
The winger, who is the son of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, made four appearances for Arsenal U18s last season.
Arteta turned 17 this week, which means that he is now eligible to sign his first professional contract.
The youngster was involved with Arsenal’s U17 team earlier in the campaign.
He will still be able to feature for the club at U18 level next season.
