The Chelsea news about Vlahovic’s potential entry has gained buzz. In fact, the Blues already have one in mind. The Blues are in talks with Dusan Vlahovic’s father for a transfer.
Chelsea interested to acquire Dusan Vlahovic
Chelsea are looking for a new striker this summer. The West London club have renewed their pursuit for Vlahovic. As reported by TEAMTALK, the West London club is in talks with his father Milos. Despite reports of a possible retention, Vlahovic has decided not to go for a contract renewal with the Italian club. Juventus wanted to retain him for the next season. However, they offered him a lower package than expected. Vlahovic refused the contract extension for this reason. His contract will expire by June 30.
Vlahovic has a long association with Juventus. He joined the club in 2022. Previously, the Serbian played for the Italian club Fiorentina. He represented the team between 2018 and 2022. Before that, Vlahovic played for the Serbian club Partizan between 2016 and 2018.

How can Vlahovic benefit Chelsea?
Vlahovic’s potential entry at Stamford Bridge is brilliant news. The club is undergoing a massive overhaul. New manager Xabi Alonso wants a strong attacking lineup. If the Serbian agrees, the Blues will get a solid striker for the next season. Alonso will join Chelsea from July 1 on a four-year contract.
Juventus didn’t have a great time in the 2025-26 season. The club’s best performance was a 6th place finish in the Serie A. This was why Vlahovic probably decided to leave the club. On the other hand, Chelsea had a mixed bag in the 2025-26 season. The West London club faced early exit in the EFL Cup. They finished in the 10th position in the Premier League. However, the Blues finished runners-up in the FA Cup final. They also won the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. This was their second Club World Cup title since the 2021 edition.
Amongst the multiple positions, the forward lineup at Chelsea requires the most attention. There have been ongoing rumors about Cole Palmer’s potential exit from the Blues this summer. None of them are verified though. If Vlahovic joins Chelsea, Palmer will get a reliable partner on the attacking front.
Future Gameplan for Vlahovic
Vlahovic is being pursued by multiple clubs. Apart from Chelsea, clubs like Newcastle United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are equally interested in the striker. The road to Stamford Bridge won’t be easy for the Serbian football player.
Vlahovic has a clean slate in terms of discipline issues. However, the same cannot be said about his fitness. He was ruled out for three weeks in April 2026 due to a calf injury. In fact, he also sustained a muscle injury around December 2025. He had to sit out for three months due to this unexpected injury. This impacted his performance. He scored only seven goals in Serie A last year.
If he overcomes these problems, Vlahovic has a promising future ahead. He won’t be playing the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Serbia couldn’t qualify for the 2026 edition. They finished third in the UEFA qualifying group K. England topped the group to secure a direct qualification. For Vlahovic, the game has just begun. It remains to be seen if he accepts the offer to enter Chelsea.
