LeBron James will have several options waiting for him when free agency begins, and this may be the final ride for him, so he wants to get it right. The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be a team that looks to re-sign him, but the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors have been rumored to have interest in him as well.
For the Warriors, the pitch is simple: James gets to play with the best shooter in the league as well as one of the best coaches. They know it's going to take more than that, which is why they have a specific pitch ready that could be enticing to him, according to the Stein Line.
“Staying with the Lakers is widely believed to be his preferred choice because he is so entrenched in Los Angeles now after eight seasons with the purple and gold,” the Stein Line wrote. “Yet league sources maintain that Golden State remains legitimately interested in adding LeBron to their Stephen Curry/Jimmy Butler/Draymond Green core coached by Steve Kerr … with the pitch presumed to include the idea that LeBron could commute from Los Angeles to some TBD degree without having to move his family.

“The idea of a third stint for James as a Cleveland Cavalier is harder to envision not only because of the severe financial limitations that the Cavs would face in trying to bring him back to the Northern Ohio but the sheer distance from what has been established since the summer of 2018 as James' Southern California base.”
At this point in his career, staying close to family is probably at the top of his list, and if the Warriors allow him to commute to them instead of moving, that could be a win-win. Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints noted that the Warriors plan to put out their best pitch for James, as they've wanted to pair him and Curry together.
