Knicks/Spurs Game 3 viewership numbers are in, and the numbers are astonishing

The Spurs responded well in Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals, stopping a near-historic win streak from the Knicks this postseason.

It was virtually a must-win game for the Spurs, and not only did they deliver in the win column, but overall, it was a thrilling duel between the best teams in the NBA.

That was reflected in the viewership numbers, which were released a couple of days after the game.

Knicks/Spurs Game 3 viewership numbers are in, and the numbers are astonishing

Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals was the most-watched Game 3 of an NBA Finals series in 28 years.

The broadcast had an average of 23.8 million viewers, and the total reached as high as 26.3 million during the 4th quarter.

These numbers were a significant increase from what we saw in Game 2, which had an average of 16.43 million viewers and a peak of 19.42 million.

With Game 4 being just as important as Game 3, we could expect to see these numbers rise if the same standard of basketball is played and if the game is close.

If the Knicks win tonight, they'll have a chance to clinch the title in San Antonio Saturday night.

Otherwise, a Spurs win will send them back home with the series tied at 2-2.
