The San Antonio Spurs found their footing in the 2026 NBA Finals. After dropping the first two games at home to the New York Knicks, the Spurs went into Madison Square Garden and took Game 3 by a final score of 115-111. Victor Wembanyama led the way with 32 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Stephon Castle added 23 points, five rebounds and five assists (see the Final Grades).
Now comes the part that could decide everything. Whoever wins Game 4 will take massive momentum in this series. That is not overreacting. That is just reality. If the Spurs win, this thing is suddenly tied and the pressure flips squarely onto New York. If the Knicks win, San Antonio is staring at a 3-1 deficit.
San Antonio Spurs Injury Update
The Spurs have no one listed on the injury report for Game 4. Furthermore, De’Aaron Fox is looking healthier and healthier after suffering a high ankle sprain earlier in the postseason. Dylan Harper is also looking springier after suffering an adductor injury against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
New York Knicks Injury Update
The Knicks have no one listed on the injury report either. That includes Mitchell Robinson, who entered the series as questionable. The backup center hasn’t skipped a beat after breaking his hand prior to the start of the NBA Finals.
San Antonio Spurs Starting Lineup
San Antonio’s starting lineup will stay the same after the Game 3 win. Head coach Mitch Johnson will stick with Fox, Castle, Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie and Wembanyama.
Off the bench, Dylan Harper has done his part but the Spurs are still looking for steady contributors beyond him. They need another reserve to step forward and give them something dependable, whether that is extra scoring, more rebounding or simply surviving the non-Wembanyama minutes without losing ground.
New York Knicks Starting Lineup
The Knicks are not going to panic after losing their first game since April 23rd. Expect them to stay with their usual starting five of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart.
That is what makes tonight interesting. The Knicks do not need to reinvent themselves. They just need to play cleaner than they did in Game 3. San Antonio, meanwhile, has to prove that Game 3 was not just a one-night escape act.
Betting Guide: Spurs vs. Knicks
The Knicks are favored by 2.5 points and the over/under is 216.5 points. From a basketball standpoint, this still looks like a defensive series. Both teams are making life difficult on the other side, possessions have been hard-earned, and Game 4 figures to carry even more tension with so much at stake. Take the under.
