Bournemouth are willing to include a £75m release clause in the contract of Man Utd transfer target Alex Scott, according to reports.
The 21-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal, and The Athletic claim that the Cherries are hoping to entice him into putting pen to paper on an extension.

Scott will, though, be aware of the interest being shown in him from United and other clubs, so he may hesitate before signing on the dotted line.
If he does refuse the extension, there is a feeling that a transfer could be done this summer for £60m.
Why are Man Utd interested in the midfielder?
Scott had a standout season for Bournemouth, and it is felt that he has reaped the benefits of a change in position.
Until the start of the 2025/26 campaign, Scott had been deployed as an attacking midfielder, but manager Andoni Iraola opted to use him in a deeper role last season, and the player thrived as a result.
While he was not named in the England squad for the World Cup, Scott is currently with Thomas Tuchel’s men in the United States. He could receive his first cap in the warm-up friendly against Costa Rica on Wednesday.

Scott is not the top target
Manager Michael Carrick is hoping to add at least one more midfielder this summer after the arrival of Ederson from Atalanta.
However, Scott is not deemed the first choice. Talks are currently being held with the agents of West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes ahead of a potential bid.
The Portuguese international’s asking price is reportedly in excess of £80m, so if United do decide the player is too expensive, they may yet consider an approach for Scott instead.
