Liverpool seeking close to €20m fee for EUROs winner

Liverpool has already seen quite the exodus take place in the early stages of the offseason, with the likes of Mo Salah, Andy Robertson, Arne Slot, and most recently, Ibrahima Konate all departing Anfield in one form or another. For Robertson, it was a move to fellow Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, and a similar move to Real Madrid for Konate, while it was a sacking for the Dutch manager.

Chiesa to depart Anfield?

But it appears that the team could be losing yet another player in the offseason, but one that they're prepared to let walk, Federico Chiesa. As reported by The Daily Briefing's Mark Brus, the Reds are prepped to let the Italian forward leave after a rather unimpressive start to life in the English top flight, with the only stipulation being his price.

"Liverpool are open to letting Chiesa go after his relative lack of impact at Anfield, so a departure shouldn’t be too problematic, but of course the Reds won’t want to lose him on the cheap," writes Brus. "Sources with a close understanding of the situation inform me that Liverpool will likely ask for around €20m to let Chiesa go..."

In the 50 appearances that he's made for the red part of Merseyside, he's only netted nine goal contributions, despite taking on a bigger role in the most recent campaign. It also doesn't help the Italian's case that, according to recent reports, Liverpool are keen on bringing in the likes of forward-thinking players such as Yan Diomande as well as Mateus Fernandes.

According to Brus, Italian sides are keen on bringing their national hero home, with the likes of Napoli and Como keeping tabs on his situation at Anfield, but aren't too eager to sign him permanently for that price, with a loan move potentially being more appealing.

“Napoli and Como are keeping an eye on the situation, but Liverpool’s asking price is around €20m, so they might explore the possibility of signing him on loan at first," writes Brus.

For now, it will be another storyline regarding Liverpool's action-packed offseason, as they gear up for the first season of Andoni Iraola's era in the legendary Premier League side.
