Now, he can add another milestone to the list. The Chiefs and Mahomes have agreed to a reworked contract that will keep the superstar quarterback in Kansas City through the 2033 season. According to ESPN, the revised agreement is worth $504.75 million, making Mahomes the first player in NFL history attached to a contract worth more than half a billion dollars.

Brittany's post only reinforced that commitment.
She later shared Patrick's announcement on her Instagram Story and added a one-word response.

Following the announcement, the Chiefs quarterback thanked the organization, the city and the fans for embracing him and his family since arriving in Kansas City as the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
"CHIEFS KINGDOM!!!! We are here to stay!" Mahomes wrote. "Love this place and the people that are apart of it and thank yall for being there for me and my family everyday! We ain't done yet tho!"
He delivered a similar message in a video released after the announcement. Mahomes told fans he was excited to remain a member of Chiefs Kingdom for years to come before adding that there is still plenty left to accomplish.
Considering his resume already includes more than 35,000 passing yards, 267 touchdown passes and five Super Bowl appearances, that's a scary thought for the rest of the NFL.

For Kansas City, the significance of the deal extends far beyond the dollar amount. The franchise now knows its most important player will remain under contract through his age-38 season.
