The New York Knicks struggled to create highlights early in Game 4. This NBA Finals showdown watched the San Antonio Spurs literally bury NYK in a gravel pit. Ironically, the makers of that hit 2000s song hyped up Madison Square Garden with their halftime performance: Wu-Tang Clan.
The iconic Hip-Hop group from Staten Island, New York entertained the crowd with their performance. They became the highlight New York needed with the team down by a massive 76-49 deficit.

Perhaps having the New York legends energizing a silent crowd became a good omen. Because the Knicks came alive after the Grammy nominees from 1998 performed.
The Knicks looked nothing like the team down by massive digits. The likes of Jalen Brunson and company sliced a 29-point deficit. Including taking their first lead of the night with under 1:30 left.

Brunson's basket erased the 79-52 lead San Antonio held at the 10:09 mark of the third quarter. The guard delivered 36 points and even overcame his own shooting struggles in the first half.
Teammate OG Anunoby crossed the 30-point mark too at 31 with under 10 seconds left. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 13 points.
New York earned a chance to inbounds the ball at the 5.7 second mark. Head coach Mike Brown called a timeout during that sequence to create one more pulsating play to put New York ahead for good. Brunson fired a desperation three that clanked off the rim. But Anunoby went full Superman and got the dramatic tip in with 1.2 seconds left.

San Antonio earned one more chance to win the game. Josh Hart blocked the Devin Vassell attempt down low to seal the win. Again, the fan energy turned around after Wu Tang's performance. Wednesday became New York's โTriumphโ with Wu at MSG.
