Liverpool has plenty of work to do this summer in terms of the transfer market and on the training field too, but first there is the small matter of the World Cup to get out of the way.
Andoni Iraola will run the rule over his new roster properly once they return from the summer break, but there are eight Liverpool players who could take a little longer to come back.
That is because they are set to take part in the tournament in the US, Canada and Mexico. This is when and where you can see the Liverpool stars in action over the course of the group phase, with all games live on the BBC and ITV in the UK (and available via their online streaming services) and on Fox in the US.
Alisson Becker (Brazil)
The first Liverpool player set to take part in the World Cup, assuming he starts, at least, is Alisson Becker. Brazil should be comfortable in the group phase. After that, there will be pressure to go deep under Carlo Ancelotti.

Wataru Endo (Japan)
Back from the injury that he sustained in February, Wataru Endo will be hoping to play a substantial part in the World Cup. Japan should be eyeing up the knockout phase in a fairly well-matched group.

Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands)
The team with the most Liverpool stars, even with Jeremie Frimpong missing out, the Netherlands should be able to get through the group, but it won't be easy.
Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk are all going to start regularly under Ronald Koeman. Each will have to play a big part if their country is to go far.

Netherlands vs Tunisia – June 26, 12am (7pm ET)
Alexander Isak (Sweden)
If anyone needs a big summer, it is Alexander Isak. The Liverpool striker basically had to write off the last campaign but he is fit again now and could do with getting a couple of goals for Sweden. Graham Potter will need him to if he is to have a chance.

Alexis Mac Allister (Argentina)
It appears that Alexis Mac Allister will be a starter for his country and it should get through to the knockout phase fairly comfortably. After a tough season for Liverpool, the Argentine could do with a good tournament to get back on track.
Argentina vs Algeria – June 17, 2am (9pm ET)
Argentina vs Austria – June 22, 6pm (1pm ET)
Argentina vs Jordan – June 28, 3am (10pm ET)
Florian Wirtz (Germany)
If Germany is going to make a proper impact at this tournament, then Florian Wirtz is going to need to be central for Julian Nagelsmann's side.
