Spurs fans blast De’Aaron Fox for late-game mishap vs. Knicks in Game 4

De'Aaron Fox must be public enemy No. 1 in Texas after the San Antonio Spurs suffered an epic collapse against the New York Knicks in Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.

The Spurs lookedlike they were on their way to tie the series at 2-2,as they led by 20 points in the fourth quarter. The Knicks, however, refused to quit and stormed back for the come-from-behind win, 107-106.

The Knicks, who trailed by as much as 29 points, completed the biggest comeback in finals history.

Fox missed his last two shots, including a head-scratching layup. With the Spurs ahead by one point, 106-105, with 14 seconds left, Fox could have wasted the clock or waited to get fouled. He, however, decided to attack the rim and got rejected by OG Anunoby.

It allowed the Knicks to gain the final possession, which ended in Anunoby's game-winning tip-in.

Fans were outraged by Fox's late-game gaffe.

“On a young team that makes a bunch of dumb mistakes, their veteran makes one of the dumbest mistakes in finals history,” said @KurichRuslan.

The 28-year-old Fox, a former Clutch Player of the Year, has struggled in the NBA Finals, with fans urging coach Mitch Johnson to give the veteran guard's minutes to Dylan Harper instead.

Fox finished with 18 points on 6-of-16 shooting, five rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and four turnovers in 37 minutes in Game 4.
