The chances of Kevin Durant being moved seem relatively high once again, as there seems to have been some drama with him and the Houston Rockets a year ago. Durant, undoubtedly one of the greatest players in NBA history, is still a ridiculous scorer who can do things on both sides of the court.
While he's getting up there in age and the drama has certainly caused some questions, there's no debate that he's one of the top 10 players to ever step foot on a basketball court.
If Durant gets moved, going to a contender would make the most sense. There's no doubt he still has all the tools in the world to help a contending team, though it remains uncertain which one that could be.
An older team might be the best outcome for all involved, with one report recently linking him to the Golden State Warriors, a team with which he dominated many years ago.
“Still one of the league’s best pure scorers, but Durant is also a headache few teams want to employ. Maybe a Warriors reunion?” Sean Deveney of Heavy reported.
Durant returning to the Warriors wouldn't be that surprising in terms of what Golden State needs. However, there have been questions in the past about whether he wants to play with Golden State again, which raises questions about his future with the Warriors.
If the two sides can look the other way and just worry about basketball, however, it makes sense to at least consider it.
