There have been some quiet rumors about the [Denver Nuggets](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/denver-nuggets) potentially moving on from Jamal Murray, though, as I've said in the past, it doesn't really make much sense to do so.
Murray, at least in the grand scheme of things, is a very good player in what the Nuggets are looking to do.
Unfortunately for Denver, however, there's still reason to believe that it wants to improve on both sides of the basketball, and there's an argument to be made that there are better second options out there than Murray.
The problem for the Nuggets is that they likely won't get the return they're looking for in a Murray deal.
According to one report, while it could make sense, it doesn't sound likely that the Nuggets will move on from him for now.
“Trading Murray makes sense–it could create some room for the Nuggets to retool the supporting cast around Nikola Jokic. But stars are hard to find, which is why Denver probably will choose to make more cosmetic changes elsewhere,” Sean Deveney of Heavy [reported](https://heavy.com/sports/nba/los-angeles-lakers/nba-trade-rumors-new-updates-and-the-big-board-as-draft-day-nears/).
There's an expectation that the Nuggets are going to improve around Nikola Jokic this offseason. That will likely mean moving on from some role players, or at least shedding some salary to improve elsewhere.
