**Brøndby director Julius Ohnesorge has refused to be drawn on a move for [Arsenal](https://sportwitness.co.uk/arsenal/)’s Christian Nørgaard, but he’s happy to make big hints.**
[Tipsbladet](https://www.tipsbladet.dk/nyhed/generelle/broendby-chef-reagerer-paa-christian-noergaard) report comments from him as he addressed a possible transfer deal for the Arsenal midfielder directly.
**Brøndby dream of return**
---------------------------
They explain that many Brøndby fans are currently dreaming of the 32-year-old midfielder returning to his former home in the summer transfer window.
The belief is that there’s a deal there to be done too. Christian Nørgaard Is currently only playing a back up role at the Emirates but could guarantee himself a starring role at the Danish side. That’s a positive. However, the fact Brøndby couldn’t get close to his Arsenal wages speaks against it.
Tipsbladet have put the growing idea to football director Julius Ohnesorge to gauge his reaction. And he was happy to drop hints without going any further.
_“I respect the mark he has left on this club,”_ he said.
“He has performed at a high level – he has won the Premier League and almost won the Champions League. People also admire his personality.
_“But we don’t want to comment on players from other clubs. He plays for a good team and still has a contract with Arsenal, so I will refrain from commenting on him, but of course we always follow the players who have been here before and left an impression. Then we will see if they can also make a mark in the future.”_
**Arsenal future uncertain**
----------------------------
The reality, though, is that Arsenal have a decision to make about Cristian Norgaard this season. His current deal expires in 2027 but it does include an option for a further year.
The Dane made 20 appearances in all competitions last season for the Gunners but features in just 3% of the available minutes in the Premier League across seven appearances.
He’s clearly not a key component for Mikel Arteta, and perhaps that should give Brondby hope even if the finances would be tricky.
