Daily Dawg Chow (6/11): What if opportunity knocks, but no one answers?

I am looking forward to Bond's 2nd season. I almost expect more out of him than KC and Denzel (not quite, but I really wouldn't be surprised). It's a good problem to have.

I think people underrate his ball tracking ability and ability to adjust his body to badly thrown balls. The two highlights here aren't perfect. both underthrown. but Bond makes the adjustments fluidly and makes the throws look beautiful.

He's not NFL elite there, but he's way above the 'average' WR2 in terms of ball tracking and body adjustment. maybe even better than Jeudy on these two categories. I'm not sure we've had a better receiver in the last 10 years on those two categories outside Amari Cooper. Jeudy is so much better at getting separation, but I've noticed many lapses in ball tracking. they both need to lower their drops (hopefully less QB fluctuation will help). Bond has above average NFL WR speed, but not the physicality.

I think it goes understated that NFL WRs with straight line speed, but have no agility to cut on routes. and on top of that, ball tracking and body adjustment like I said above. even without jamming a speedster at the LOS to throw off QB timing, a WR running a straight line go route, a QB still has to throw in a square foot window for some receivers to be able to actually catch a 40+ yd long ball.
