The New York Knicks took a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals after a last-second winner in Game Four overnight UK time. After trailing by as much as 29 points to the San Antonio Spurs, the Knicks clawed their way back to secure an improbable 107-106 victory that sent Madison Square Garden into uproar.
Going into halftime, the Spurs had a 27-point lead thanks to exceptional shooting, leaving New York and a celebrity-filled arena, including Taylor Swift, Ben Stiller, and Timothée Chalamet, in shock. Yet, with just 1.2 seconds left on the clock, London-born basketball player OG Anunoby flew in after a missed Jalen Brunson three-point attempt and tipped in the ball to give the Knicks a shocking lead with time running down.
A few seconds before his game-winning tip-in, he also blocked De'Aaron Fox's attempted lay-up that would have seen the Spurs go up three points if he scored.

Anunoby was born in Harlesden, in the North West London borough of Brent, to Nigerian parents. He played football growing up, supporting Arsenal, but as he grew in height, he started focusing on basketball.
He moved with his family to Missouri, US, when he was four - he still retains some of his London accent after all these years. He played high school basketball at Jefferson City High School before choosing to continue his basketball career at Indiana University.
In 2017, he was selected by the Toronto Raptors with the 23rd pick in the NBA Draft. He was a key part of the Raptors ' championship-winning team, but was unable to play in the playoffs due to an emergency surgery. After the Raptors won their first-ever title in 2019, he also became the first-ever British player to win an NBA Championship.
