Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui has returned to Morocco training after suffering a shoulder injury. Mazraoui picked up the issue during Morocco's warm-up friendly for the World Cup against Norway.

Mazraoui was forced off just 29 minutes into the game, throwing his involvement at the tournament in doubt, but he has now returned to full training following the completion of light gym work.

That means the defender should be available for Morocco's opening game of the World Cup against Brazil on Saturday.

Morocco will take on Brazil at MetLife Stadium. United pair Casemiro and Matheus Cunha are set to feature for the Brazilians as they look to their campaign for a sixth World Cup success off to a flying start.

If Casemiro is included, United have 13 players at the World Cup (he is contracted until the end of this month).

Altay Bayindir has been selected by Turkey, while fellow goalkeeper Senne Lammens has been selected by Belgium. Mazraoui will represent Morocco, while Lisandro Martinez will play for Argentina.

Manuel Ugarte has made Uruguay's squad, despite struggling at United this season, while Amad will represent the Ivory Coast. Tyler Fletcher was drafted into Scotland's squad after a late injury.

Cunha and Casemiro will feature for Brazil this summer. Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes have been named in Portugal's squad, while Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford made the cut for England.

The tournament will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and it kicks off tonight with Mexico playing South Africa in the opening game.

United's pre-season usually begins in the first week of July. Several young players from the academy will get a chance to impress Michael Carrick across the six friendlies, which will be played against Wrexham, Rosenborg, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Leeds and AC Milan.
