Anunoby continued his hot streak into Game 4 against the San Antonio Spurs. He has been averaging nearly 24 points a game, and he's making nearly 60% of his shots.
In Game 4, he was the team's second leading scorer, logging 33 points. However, he made 66% of his shots and went 7-9 from downtown. In the game before, which New York lost, he shot nearly 70% from the floor. He has been great since coming back from an injury suffered in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The Spurs dominated the early part of Game 4, leading 41-22 after the first quarter. They made an NBA Finals record 14 three-pointers in the first half.
The second half of the game was a different story. New York outscored San Antonio 58-30 in the third and fourth quarters. It was capped off by Anunoby's miraculous play.
With under six seconds to go, Jalen Brunson shot a 30-foot three-pointer. He was shooting over Victor Wembanyama. If he had made it, New York would've had a two-point lead.
However, he missed, and Anunoby, who inbounded the ball on the play, took his chance. He came from out of nowhere, tipping the ball back through the net. The Knicks then held on to win on the next defensive possession.
