Prince Cisse, the son of former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse, has signed his first professional contract with the club after a breakthrough campaign in 2025/26.
Cisse enjoyed an impressive season as a regular with the U18s last time out, thriving after a shock change of position from forward to centre-back.
The 17-year-old made 19 appearances in the league, including four as captain, while also featuring four times for the U19s in the UEFA Youth League and scoring on his U21s debut.
He was named as one of eight players to be offered new contracts at the end of the season and Liverpool have now confirmed he has put pen to paper.
Liverpool have rewarded Cisse’s progress with his first professional deal, which is expected to run to 2029 as the maximum length possible.

Cisse could now make the step up to the U21s squad on a full-time basis, though there will be fierce competition for places in Rob Page’s defence, particularly with the arrival of Ifeanyi Ndukwe from Austria Vienna.
There appears little chance of the youngster moving back to his previous role, despite the success his father, Djibril, found as a striker for Liverpool.
“I’ve seen the highlights. It’s nice to watch him back, see what he was like,” Cisse Jr. told the club’s official website in February.
“A bit of a crazy player with his mad hairstyles and all that.
“Me playing centre-back now, he was probably a striker that I wouldn’t want to play against. He seemed like a good player.

“I had pace but maybe my goalscoring ability probably wasn’t as good as his, hence why I’ve been moved to centre-back. He was lightning-quick but I’d say I’m maybe a bit quicker.”
Asked about his ambitions, Cisse added: “Short term, I just hope to keep progressing, getting better, keep starting in the U18s and maybe play a couple of U21s games – who knows?
“Then long term, I obviously want to get in the first team. I want to play for Liverpool for the rest of my life really – that’s what I want to do.”
Djibril Cisse played 79 times for Liverpool, scoring 24 goals and assisting five, winning the Champions League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
