£100m star addresses reports of possible Arsenal move!

Morgan Rogers has moved to downplay growing transfer speculation linking him with a summer switch to Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea, insisting the constant rumours around his future are “mostly noise” as he focuses on international duty with England.

The Aston Villa midfielder has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most in-demand attacking talents following another impressive campaign at Villa Park, where he played a key role in Unai Emery’s side securing European qualification and lifting the Europa League.

His form has reportedly placed him on the radar of several elite clubs across Europe, with ARSENAL, Chelsea and Manchester United all monitoring his situation closely.

Despite signing a long-term contract extension until 2031 last year, Rogers’ future has become a talking point again amid suggestions that Aston Villa could face financial pressure to consider offers in excess of £80–100 million.

However, Villa remain publicly determined to keep hold of the 23-year-old, viewing him as a central figure in Emery’s long-term project.

Speaking recently while on England duty, Rogers addressed the speculation directly, choosing not to fuel exit talk: “I think the first time it ever happened it was,” Rogers told the Rest Is Football Podcast when asked if transfer speculation affects his concentration.

“You’re in an uncomfortable spot of not realising that people have so much interest in you and you’re not quite realising that. But as you get older and gain experience along the way, you know that comes with it and 95 per cent of it is just noise.

“You hear it, course you do. You can’t help not [hearing it]. You know it’s there but you’ve got to use it in a positive way.

“You just try and get on with your game and just focus.”

Sources close to the situation indicate that while interest from ARSENAL, Manchester United and Chelsea is genuine, no formal bids have yet been submitted. Arsenal are widely reported to have done the most preparatory work on a potential deal, while Chelsea and United are expected to remain in the race if Villa were to soften their stance.

Villa, meanwhile, are under no immediate pressure to sell and are expected to demand a club-record fee should any negotiations progress.

With Rogers still contracted long-term and central to Emery’s plans, any potential move is likely to depend heavily on player ambition, club finances and the timing of offers later in the window
