Newcastle United transfer round-up: Spanish winger linked as Manchester United monitor Lewis Hall.
Newcastle United are eyeing their second summer signing after completing a £18million deal to sign French goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Stade de Reims.
Here’s a look at the latest Newcastle transfer rumours doing the rounds:
Newcastle United ‘stepping up’ winger pursuit
Newcastle United are “very close” to signing Osasuna winger Victor Munoz, according to El Chiringuito TV journalist Jose Alvarez Haya.
The Magpies are seeking a replacement for Anthony Gordon after selling the England international to Barcelona for £69million. Like Gordon, Munoz is predominantly a left winger but is capable of playing anywhere across the front three.
Munoz made just five appearances for Real Madrid before joining Osasuna last summer, and his breakthrough season of seven goals and five assists has earned him a place in Spain’s World Cup squad.
It’s claimed Newcastle are closing in on a deal worth £35million plus £5m in add-ons, with the 22-year-old scheduled to undergo his medical in the United States should a full agreement be reached.
Munoz and Spain kick-off their World Cup campaign against Cape Verde in Atlanta on Monday.
Lewis Hall continues to be linked with Manchester United
Sky Sports News reports that Manchester United are continuing to monitor Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall, while Fulham’s Antonee Robinson has also emerged as a target.
Hall joined the Magpies, initially on loan from Chelsea in 2024, before completing a permanent £28million move a year later.
Having gone on to establish himself as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League, despite missing out on England’s World Cup squad, Newcastle would command a significant fee.
