LAKE FOREST, Ill., — Before the 2025 NFL season, Nike and the league announced a new set of uniforms for select teams dubbed "Rivalries". The uniforms pay homage to rivalries across the NFL as teams wore them against their rivals. The initial reviews were mixed, with some fans liking them and some not a fan.
Now, as we enter the 2026 season, the NFC North is one of the divisions set to wear the uniforms for the upcoming season. On Thursday, the Bears revealed more details on the upcoming uniforms, including when they will wear them.
As part of the theme days for home games, the Bears announced that they will be wearing the new uniforms on Christmas Day against the Green Bay Packers:
The Bears' Christmas Day matchup against the Green Bay Packers will serve as part of the NFL and Nike's "Rivalries" program, which launched in 2025 to celebrate the traditions, communities and competitive spirit surrounding some of the league's most iconic matchups through specially designed uniforms, apparel and fan gear inspired by each team's local identity and culture. The 2026 season will mark the first year the Bears participate in the "Rivalries" initiative, highlighted by the debut of the team's unique uniform during the nationally showcased matchup against the Packers. The Christmas Day game will add another chapter to one of the NFL's most historic and recognizable divisional rivalries, while featuring enhanced entertainment, themed in-game elements and a heightened gameday atmosphere celebrating the intensity and tradition of Bears-Packers football.
The uniforms will be unveiled at a later date and should pay homage to the city of Chicago and the historic franchise.
In addition to the Nike rivalry uniforms, the Bears will host other theme nights, including a Peanuts night featuring a special Bears Snoopy Bear. More information on the full list of theme nights can be found here.
