If you are a Boston Celtics fan and felt physically ill after watching the San Antonio Spurs blow the biggest lead in NBA Finals history and subsequently hand the New York Knicks an NBA Finals Championship, I want you to know that you are not alone.
This is a safe space.
I felt like a crazy person when the Spurs -- who I could not care less about -- lost a game in embarrassing fashion, and it ruined my night.
But when I opened up my phone and saw other Boston fans sharing my sentiment, I felt a little bit better. But no one summed it up better than Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy, who released a nearly three-minute rant on Thursday morning after "not sleeping" the night before.
"I didn't sleep last night because of that basketball game," Portnoy said. "I think I hate the Spurs now, like, legitimately... I don't know if it's my personality, I don't know if it's just me being a Boston fan; I hate the Knicks now -- I've always hated New York sports teams -- but watching their fans celebrate in that arena, and people who aren't even basketball fans, just made my skin crawl on a level I can't even describe."
I have a confession. I didn’t sleep last night. pic.twitter.com/RMEeFSW28N

Portnoy has always had a flair for the melodramatic, but this time, I am right there with him. Going up by 29 points and then refusing to string together just two or three good possessions to protect the lead was infuriating to watch.
The thought of San Antonio giving New York fans one of the most iconic moments in basketball history does not sit right with me.
Then, worst of all, if the Spurs win that game, this is a real series, and it favors San Antonio with the home court. Now the Spurs are tasked with responding to the worst loss in history and mounting a series comeback that has only been done once before.
Boston's rivalry with New York runs bone deep. If you were affected by the Knicks' win, know that you aren't crazy, or maybe we all are.
