Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy wasn't impressed by the star power at Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
There wee countless celebrities at Wednesday night's game between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, including Timothee Chalamet, Larry David, Kylie Jenner, Spike Lee, Tracy Morgan, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld and Taylor Swift.
Portnoy, a diehard fan of the Boston Celtics, isn't convinced all the celebrities who were at Madison Square Garden actually care about the Knicks.
"Honest question. What percentage of Knicks celebrity fans would also show up in Laker gear for Laker celebrity row if the Lakers were in the Finals?" Portnoy asked on social media. "I think it's over 50%."
Naturally, NBA fans offered their thoughts on Game 4's celebrity row.
"Only Knicks diehard Celebs are Spike, Ben, Tracy (after the lawsuit) and now Joey Crack and Timmy. I'll add Chris Rock as an occasional," one fan replied. "The rest of them (McEnroe, Seinfeld, LarryDavid etc) come and go. None of those listed will be in Laker gear. Hov is a special case tho."
"Name one," another person said. "Not TC, Stiller, Tracy, Fat Joe, Spike, Johnny MAC, not Seinfeld, The SVU lady. NAME ONE."
"Maybe the fake ones," a third person commented. "Def not any of the actual diehard fan celebrities. If you saw Ben Stiller in lakers gear at a lakers finals game he'd never be accepted again lol. And I know he never would do that."
Who is actually a diehard fan?
We've seen several celebrities, such as Timothee Chalamet, Spike Lee and Ben Stiller, attend almost every game for the Knicks during this postseason run. Their commitment to the team shouldn't be questioned.
As for those who just stopped by for the NBA Finals, it's fair to ask if they're actually interested in the Knicks and their history.
The Knicks will return to the hardwood on Saturday night for Game 5. We'll see if they win their first title since 1973.
