AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche has fuelled speculation over his future after admitting that a summer departure from the Ligue 1 club is a realistic possibility, placing several Premier League giants on alert ahead of the transfer window.
The highly rated star has emerged as one of the most sought-after attacking talents in European football following another impressive campaign with Monaco. CHELSEA, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with the Frenchman in recent months, while clubs across Europe are believed to be monitoring his situation closely.
Speaking about his future, Akliouche stopped short of confirming his exit but acknowledged that the time may be right for a new challenge.

Speaking to Nice-Matin before travelling to the United States with the French national team for the 2026 World Cup, Akliouche was candid about his situation. When asked if the next step would be a transfer this summer, he responded: “Will the next step be a transfer this summer? Yes, but frankly, I’m really focused on this World Cup.”
“I know anything can happen, even during the competition. It’s a great opportunity for exposure, but I’m staying focused on the national team’s objectives.
“I don’t want to disrespect my club by talking about the transfer window now either. There are other things to deal with.”
CHELSEA are understood to be among the clubs keeping a close watch on developments. The Blues continue to prioritise the recruitment of young, high-potential talent and view Akliouche as a player capable of fitting into their long-term project.
Reports suggest the London club have already gathered extensive scouting reports and could accelerate their interest if Monaco formally open the door to negotiations.
Arsenal are also believed to be admirers of the France international. Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to strengthen their attacking options this summer, particularly in wide areas, and Akliouche’s ability to operate on either flank has reportedly made him an attractive target.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have also been credited with an interest as the club assesses potential additions to its forward line. The Merseyside outfit are expected to remain active in the market and have reportedly identified several versatile attacking players capable of enhancing squad depth and creativity.
Monaco, however, remain in a strong negotiating position. Akliouche is under contract and the French club are expected to demand a significant transfer fee for one of their most valuable assets. Recent reports have suggested a valuation of around €60 million to €70 million could be required to secure a deal.
With the player now publicly acknowledging that an exit is possible, interest is expected to intensify. As the summer window approaches, Akliouche’s future looks set to become one of the market’s most closely watched transfer sagas.
