Browns Quinshon Judkins a Bright Spot of Offseason; QBs will Continue Battle in Camp; Ronnie…

BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns running back bursted up the middle, cut to the left and then accelerated as if he was shot out of a cannon on Day 2 of Browns minicamp.

That player--**Quinshon Judkins**-- was coming off a gruesome injury that ended his rookie season on Dec. 21 against the Bills when he broke his fibula and dislocated his ankle. Judkins had surgery and was able to return to individual drills early in OTAs and was in full team drills and it was a bit of a surprise to see him as a full participant in late May.

On Tuesday, Judkins ran down the middle of the field in 7-on-7's, cut and out ran linebacker Carson Schwesinger, all the way down the left sideline. Judkins had some similar runs in the final practice of minicamp on Thursday.

"It feels like he's got his confidence back, his explosion," coach Todd Monken said after practice ond Day One of mandatory minicamp. "We'll just see when he gets the pads on but looks good."

Judkins said he feels good about his recovery.

"I know the work that I put in, so I'm prepared to just go out there and just put it on the field," he said "Just taking it day by day, man, and just really knowing the goal and where I want to be and getting back to making plays on the field and just feeling like myself.

"So that's what my main goal was."

Judkins was picked by the Browns in the 2025 NFL Draft, the No. 36 overall, pick from Ohio State. As a rookie, Judkins rushed for 827 yards with seven touchdowns and caught 2 passes for 171 yards.

Judkins missed three games and likely would have eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark, if not for the injury. However, there's plenty of room for his potential to grow as he only reached the 100 yard mark one time in his rookie season. He had 110 yards against the Vikings in London.
