This is something he's very aware of. Speaking to ESPN for the NBA Tip-Off pregame show, he was asked about his “superstitions” as a fan. He then revealed that he and his wife “burned” the clothes they wore to Game 3.
“Yeah, my wife Christin and I came home after the last game and burned the clothes we were wearing,” he said, making the Inside the NBA crew laugh. “I'm not ever wearing that stupid Finals shirt that I was wearing. That was awful, and the jeans. She had some bracelets that got thrown away.
“Yeah, you wipe it clean, and these I've been wearing for a while because I've had good games in them too. But otherwise, everything else, you start fresh,” he added, noting that he kept some of his lucky clothes, which he wore to Game 4.

President Trump did not attend Game 4 at Madison Square Garden. Other celebrities, like the usual suspects, such as Stiller, Spike Lee, Timothée Chalamet, and Kylie Jenner, were there. Additionally, Taylor Swift showed up.
Perhaps his superstitions worked. The Knicks looked like they were MIA in the first half of the game. They were down by 27 points at halftime to the San Antonio Spurs, who had made an NBA Finals record 14 three-pointers in the first two quarters.
Slowly but surely, the Knicks clawed their way back into the game. They ended up winning off a tip-in from OG Anunoby, who saved a missed three-pointer from Jalen Brunson, which he shot with less than six seconds to go in the game.
