There's Only One Player Celtics Aren't Willing To Trade For Giannis Antetokounmpo

After a few relatively quiet weeks, trade rumors involving Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Boston Celtics have dramatically heated up this week.

Several NBA insiders are now reporting that the Celtics appear to be in on Antetokounmpo, including Bill Simmons and Kevin O'Connor.

On Thursday's episode of "The Kevin O'Connor Show," O'Connor essentially confirmed Simmons' update while adding some new details, including the one player Boston views as untouchable in trade talks.

Wow

The Boston Celtics are in on Giannis Antetokounmpo.

They are making lots of calls and shopping all players except for Jayson Tatum.

"I have heard Boston is shopping people around a lot right now. Boston is making calls. Boston is open to trading anybody besides Jayson Tatum," O'Connor said. "I do believe...the Celtics are in on Giannis... This seems to be currently a two-team race... This feels very, very real to me."

The other team in the race is the Miami Heat. If the Celtics are serious about trading for Antetokounmpo, they will have to outbid the Heat. If everyone besides Tatum is available, that shouldn't be too difficult.

O'Connor added that he wouldn't be surprised if Antetokounmpo gets traded before the NBA Draft on June 23 and 24 but after the NBA Finals, so a deal could be imminent.

Time will tell, but Antetokounmpo coming to Boston suddenly looks like a very realistic possibility.
