Drake Maye and the New England Patriots are on the verge of putting together a very special season in Foxboro.
The newest trade acquisition, A.J. Brown, has only been with the team for a week and a half, but he is already thoroughly impressed with the 23-year-old signal-caller.
"The talent speaks for itself. He can make any throw," Brown said of Maye. "But I think what’s more impressive to me is that he knows what he’s doing. To be that young and to understand the defense, and to understand every little check, the hots, the blitz, all those things, so young and so fast, it’s very impressive. And so, I really admire that."
Brown went on to say that not only does Maye know what he's talking about, but he also is not afraid to lead the team.
"He knows what he’s talking about. He demands everybody else to know as well," Brown said. "And he’s a true leader. He’s a true leader of men, and it’s crazy to see at a young age.

Patriots mini-camp is now over, so the fans won't be able to see more of the Maye-to-Brown connection until late July. But if this week was any indication, the AFC is in real trouble.
