Appearing on NBA Today, ESPN insider Shams Charania has confirmed that eggs were hurled at the San Antonio Spurs superstar, and that no arrests or investigations are still being conducted as of late.

"I can confirm that multiple eggs were thrown in the direction of Victor Wembanyama late last night outside the Spurs' hotel. As of right now, the New York Police Department has not made any arrests, and the San Antonio Spurs are on their way back to San Antonio today for Game 5," Charania told Malika Andrews.

"Game 6 would be on Tuesday night, though it remains unclear where the Spurs would stay. Their hotel for Games 3 and 4 was located within a five-block radius of Madison Square Garden."

Wemby served as the latest victim of Knicks fans' unruly behavior

Multiple videos and footage have captured several Knicks fans throwing items and even an egg at Victor Wembanyama.

As the big man was about to check into their team hotel after their 107-106 loss in Game 4, flying objects were seen that even hit the Spurs star. Wembanyama momentarily turned around upon the incident, as security personnel escorted him into the hotel.

This marks only the latest and most significant incident highlighting Knicks fans' uncontrollable celebrations and rioting amid New York's return to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

Police authorities arrested 21 individuals after Monday's Game 3. The numbers reportedly increased to 56 following last Wednesday's match.

It remains to be seen how the NBA and the NYPD will act accordingly on the Wembanyama incident.
