Liverpool has confirmed the departures of Sipke Hulshoff, Ruben Peeters and Giovanni van Bronckhorst from its coaching staff after Arne Slot was fired last month.

The trio were expected to leave after ex-Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola arrived to take over from the Dutchman as head coach. The Spaniard will appoint some of his own assistants to move forward into the new era at Anfield, with Tommy Elphick among those who he could bring to Merseyside.

"Everybody at LFC thanks Sipke, Ruben and Gio for all their efforts and contributions to the club and wishes them the best for the future," the club said in the statement that confirmed the exits.

Hulshoff was Slot's first assistant, while Peeters was lead physical performance coach. They both joined Liverpool when Slot came in from Feyenoord in the summer of 2024.

In their first season, they won the Premier League title, which was the club’s 20th top-flight championship.

Former Netherlands international Van Bronckhorst, meanwhile, arrived at Liverpool last summer. He effectively replaced John Heitinga, who moved to Ajax to take up the role of head coach.

Peeters had already confirmed his own departure on LinkedIn.

"After two unforgettable seasons at Liverpool FC, it is time to say goodbye," Peeters wrote on the social media site on May 31.

"Winning the Premier League together will always be a special memory and the ultimate highlight of this incredible journey.

"But above all, I'm grateful for two years of going to work every day with such enthusiasm, surrounded by amazing colleagues and great people.
