Arsenal striker Alessia Russo has been voted as Arsenal Women’s Player of the Season for 2025-26 by readers of Arsenal.com (for what very little it is worth, she got our vote!)
Russo scored 24 goals in 40 matches in all competitions, including a first half hat-trick against Spurs in March, as well as goals in the Champions League quarter-finals against Chelsea and the semi-final against Lyon.
Alessia was also voted into the Women’s Champions League Team of the Season, having scored nine goals in 12 matches. She was also a key figure for England at last summer’s Euros, scoring in the final against Spain as the Lionesses retained their European Championship crown.
For further analysis, we wrote an analysis piece on Russo’s career best season here. Russo can now enjoy a summer off ahead of the WSL season starting on the weekend of 4-6 September. We understand that Arsenal are likely to head to Spain for a pre-season training camp in August with some TBC friendlies likely. (We are not sure whether they will be open to the public at this stage).
