Former Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian announced his retirement from playing last month, and he has now sent a social media message to Reds fans.
Adrian also played for West Ham and Real Betis during his career. The Spaniard was brought in as a back-up to Alisson Becker by Jurgen Klopp and won the FIFA Club World Cup with Liverpool during a five-year stay on Merseyside.
"Hi Reds," he says in a video posted to his social media channels. "Now that my sporting career has come to the end, what can I say to you all apart from a huge thank you?
"You have given me some of the best memories in my career.
"That penalty in Istanbul when I had just arrived, and a nickname that will always follow me (referencing Klopp's famous Rocky interview).
"The Kop sound, the Premier League, the run of titles and trophies, your incredible Scouse accent. Feeling close to you even during Covid.

"Incredible teammates and the feeling that I will Never Walk Alone because I will always carry you with me."
Adrian only left Liverpool in 2024, and he spoke a few months after that about finding his Anfield exit difficult. He was offered an extension but wanted to return to Spain.
"I cried when I left Liverpool. I didn't get a chance to say a proper goodbye to the fans, so I had to make a video on my social media. I was at home with my family and I just broke down after," he shared with The Athletic.
"I felt sorry for my kids because they had spent all of their lives in the UK. I had five wonderful seasons there and won all the trophies, except the Champions League. One side of my heart was saying, 'Come on, I love Liverpool, I love my Scouse people'.

"It was difficult saying no to Liverpool. It's hard leaving a place where you feel loved by everyone, but this decision was about me and my family.
"I had a conversation with (sporting director) Richard Hughes, and they tried to convince me to stay, but, as I said, this was the right move for me.
"I was aware of Betis' interest before the end of the season, but it was nothing formal. This is my boyhood club. I played here from the age of 10 until I was 26. All my family support the club, and my brother is a season ticket holder.
